The foundation for the development of youth relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Moldova is the intergovernmental Agreement on cultural and scientific cooperation of August 17, 1994 and the Agreement of the CIS Member States on cooperation in the field of youth work of November 25, 2005.
In accordance with the Agreement of 1994, Russia and Moldova will encourage cooperation and exchanges between youth and youth organizations using traditional cultural, scientific, professional and sports ties for this, and will also provide mutual support for the integration of youth structures of two countries into international youth organizations.
Moldova participates in the development of international youth cooperation through the Council of Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
