Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC)

The Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) is a non-profit organization founded in 2010.

The founders of RIAC are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Interfax News Agency.

One of the key tasks of RIAC is to promote the formation of a community of young professionals in the field of foreign policy.

RIAC:

  • conducts the competition of scientific works of young international scientists "Global Perspectives" and the competition of young international journalists, international schools for young researchers and experts in various areas of world politics and international relations (for example, the school "International Cooperation of the EAEU"), 
  • implements the project "Cooperation of New Generation Experts" jointly with the Korea Foundation, 
  • is one of the initiators of the creation of a youth group for ensuring security in the Euro-Atlantic Region and the organizer of its annual meetings.

RIAC also participates in the development of youth cooperation among the BRICS Member States.
