The basic organization of the CIS Member States for the development of youth entrepreneurship was established in accordance with the decision of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government dated June 7, 2016.

The status of the basic organization of the CIS Member States for the development of youth entrepreneurship was assigned to the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Russian Center for Assistance to Youth Entrepreneurship" (currently the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Assistance to Young Professionals").

The goal of the basic organization of the CIS Member States for the development of youth entrepreneurship is to improve the scientific, analytical, informational and methodological support of youth entrepreneurship in the CIS Member States.
