On April 12 the regular meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States was held in Minsk.

During the meeting a number of topics related to the development of international relations in the CIS area were discussed. Key issues were the development of the Action Plan for 2018-2020 for the implementation of the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2020 and work on the preparation of the draft Strategy for 2021-2030.

The purpose was establishment of partnerships and development of long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation of parties in the field of youth policy. 

Participants 

The event was attended by employees of MIREA, representatives of the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth – the Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations MIREA G.V. Petushkov and the Deputy Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations MIREA D.A. Bunkin.

Results

  • The draft Strategy for 2021-2030 from RTU MIREA was presented, 
  • The draft Regulation on the Forum of youth organizations of the CIS Member States developed by the staff of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations MIREA was presented, 
  • Signing of two MIREA agreements with international partner organizations of the CIS, namely with the state educational institution "Republican Institute of Higher Education" of the Republic of Belarus and the public association "Institute for Youth Development" of the Kyrgyz Republic.
