The foundation for the development of youth relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Indonesia is the intergovernmental Agreement on cultural cooperation of November 14, 1998.
In accordance with the Agreement, Russia and Indonesia will encourage the development of cooperation between state institutions in the field of youth work.
The Republic of Indonesia participates in the development of international youth cooperation through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The Indonesian National Youth Council is part of the World Assembly of Youth.
