The foundation for the development of youth relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tunisia is the Agreement on cultural and scientific cooperation of March 26, 1999.

In accordance with the Agreement, Russia and Tunisia will create favorable conditions for the development of cooperation and youth exchange of both countries  and encourage direct ties between their youth organizations.

Tunisia is a permanent member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The National Youth Council of Tunisia is a partner of the World Assembly of Youth.
