The foundation for the development of youth relations between the Russian Federation and Georgia is the intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture, science and education of February 3, 1994.
In accordance with the Agreement, Russia and Georgia will encourage cooperation and ties between youth and youth organizations through the exchange of delegations, holding student meetings and sports competitions, supporting children's creativity and other joint events.
Georgia participates in the development of international youth cooperation through the Council of Europe and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
