The foundation for the development of youth relations between the Russian Federation and the Slovak Republic is the Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture of February 13, 1995.
In accordance with the Agreement, Russia and Slovakia will develop cooperation between organizations and youth associations and encourage direct contacts between young people of both countries.
Slovakia participates in the development of international youth cooperation through the Council of Europe.
The Slovak Youth Council is part of the European Youth Forum.
