On September 20, 2019 in Strasbourg in the building of the Palace of Europe the regular meeting of the Steering Committee for the preparation and management of the implementation of the Action Plan for the Framework Program for Cooperation between the Council of Europe and the Russian Federation in the field of youth policy was held.
As a part of the meeting a draft Framework Program for Cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Council of Europe in the field of youth policy for 2020-2023 was agreed upon. A calendar plan was drawn up for further refinement and adoption of the document.
During the meeting results were summed up, and an assessment of the implementation of activities of the Action Plan for 2019 was made. Both sides recognized the cooperation as effective. The Action Plan for 2020 for the Framework Program for Cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Council of Europe in the field of youth policy for 2020-2023 was considered and approved. Specific recommendations for a number of activities were made.
Participants were the Steering Committee from the Russian Federation included representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the National Youth Council of Russia. From the Council of Europe representatives of Directorate General for Democracy (DG II) and the Joint Council for Youth of the Council of Europe participated there. Representatives of the European Youth Forum and other strategic partner organizations may be invited to meetings of the Steering Committee as observers.
