The foundation for the development of youth relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Peru is the intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture, education and science of November 10, 1995.
In accordance with the Agreement, Russia and Peru will promote cooperation between organizations and youth associations encouraging direct contacts between young people.
Peru is a member of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
The National Youth Council of Peru is part of the World Assembly of Youth.
