The foundation for the development of youth relations between the Russian Federation and the Sultanate of Oman is the intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture, science, education, tourism and youth of February 14, 2000.

In accordance with the Agreement, Russia and Oman will create favorable conditions for the development and promotion of cooperation and contacts between youth organizations of both countries.

The Sultanate of Oman participates in the development of international youth cooperation through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
