The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus implements state policy in the field of education, ensuring the quality of education as well as state youth policy.

The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus is the permanent member of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States.

The legal basis for the interaction of the Ministry with Russian partners: 

• Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of youth policy of June 30, 1995
• Agreement between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of state youth policy of December 15, 2014
• Agreement of the CIS Member States on cooperation in the field of youth work of November 25, 2005

The Ministry is a co-organizer of the annual Russian-Belarusian Youth Forum from the Belarusian side.
