The forum is a joint traditional annual event in the field of strengthening international youth cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
The goals of the forum: development of international youth cooperation in the space of the Union State to reveal the educational, social, spiritual and moral potential of younger generation, consolidate the youth social movement, strengthen friendship, mutual understanding and interaction between youth of Belarus and Russia.
The event has been held annually since 2013 at the initiative of the National Youth Council of Russia and the Public Association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union".
The forum is included in the Joint Action Plan of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in the field of state youth policy for 2022.
In 2022 the forum was held in person. The main working blocks such as the solemn opening of the forum, the plenary session "Common historical and cultural heritage of Russia and Belarus. Initiatives with the participation of youth", the section "Infomedia in the new information reality", "Patriotism in the system of values of modern youth of Belarus and Russia", summing up the results of the forum with the adoption of the resolution were included in the program. The forum program also included cultural and leisure part, attending a meeting-requiem dedicated to the anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War, display of the military-historical reconstruction "June 22. Brest Fortress", visiting the interactive museum "Victory Train", laying flowers on the territory of the State Institution "Memorial Complex" Brest Fortress-Hero".
Opening speeches were made by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets, the Director of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Denis Ashirov, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Public Association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" Alexander Lukyanov, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia, the acting Vice-Rector for Youth Policy of RTU MIREA Grigory Petushkov and the Deputy Secretary of the Member States of the Standing Committee of the Union State Vladimir Sirenko.
The speakers were representatives of a number of large youth organizations and projects in Russia and Belarus, representatives of youth communities, young specialists from relevant departments, representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, including the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Union State Committee, the National Youth Council of Russia, the Republican Union of Public Associations "Belarusian Committee of Youth Organizations", public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union", the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory", the All-Russian public organization "Russian Union of Youth". Among them also were the Belarusian Public Association of Demographic Security, the republican council of working youth of Belarus, the republican youth center of Belarus, the public republican student council under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the republican creative youth public association "Youth Promotion", the public association "Belarusian Women's Union", the Public Chamber of the Moscow Region, the Council of Young Political Scientists of the Russian Association of Political Science, the state educational institution "Brest Regional Centre for Tourism and Local History of Children and Youth", MIREA – Russian Technological University, the Russian State University for the Humanities, the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language (International volunteer program "Ambassadors of the Russian language in the world"), the Council of Young Scientists of Kostychev Ryazan State Agrotechnological University, Pskov State University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State University, the youth patriotic club of the branch "Brest Regional Institute for the Development of Education", the national video hosting RUTUBE, the project "TopBLOG", the international project "Film Lessons in Schools".
Participants: young people aged 18 to 35. They were representatives of federal, regional youth public associations/organizations, young people in the media sphere, young historians, students of military universities and colleges, leaders of youth movements, students of educational institutions of higher education, representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. In total 53 people participated there.
Key results: The forum’s participants together with the invited experts and honored guests discussed topical issues that warn youth of the Union State. As a result of the forum the Resolution of the forum 2022 was adopted.
