An online event – "The practice of assessing the situation of youth in the CIS Member States" was held to increase the effectiveness of youth policy, determine the situation of young people and the processes taking place in youth environment, in order to implement the decisions of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States (hereinafter referred to as the Council).
Participants were representatives of the working group on the development of a list of indicators, representatives of government agencies and research organizations. In total 22 people participated there.
The meeting was organized as a continuation of the work on the development of a list of indicators of the youth situation and the processes taking place in youth environment (hereinafter referred to as the list of indicators) which was actively conducted by the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth – RTU MIREA during 2018 and 2019 within the framework of the Council.
The event was organized to develop joint proposals for cooperation in 2021 in order to organize a study of youth in the Commonwealth space included in the Action Plan for 2021-2022 for the implementation of the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States for 2021-2030 (paragraph 1.11).
Results:

An online seminar was held to exchange information on research in the field of the situation of youth in the CIS, promotion of comprehensive research in the CIS on youth topics.

It was decided to organize discussions in each of the Commonwealth countries (with partner organizations involved in youth research and government agencies) to coordinate and implement youth research in 2021-2022.
