The Forum has been held annually since 2015 at the initiative of the Council for Youth Affairs of the Member States for youth work with the support of the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth in accordance with the Agreement of the CIS Member States on cooperation in the field of youth work, the Strategy of the International Youth Cooperation between the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period up to 2020, the Regulation on the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States and the Regulation on the Forum.
The forum is a joint event in the field of strengthening International Youth Cooperation and the implementation of youth policy in the CIS.
Participants 38 persons:
Leaders of youth social movements, representatives of youth associations, government agencies, international agencies involved in the implementation of youth policy in the CIS Member States.
Purpose: Development of International Youth Cooperation in the Commonwealth of Independent States to unlock the creative, educational, social, spiritual and moral potential of the younger generation, consolidate youth social movement, strengthen friendship, mutual understanding and interaction between peoples of the CIS Member States as well as support integration processes in the CIS.
The key topics of the forum in 2020 were the project of the Interstate Program "Youth Capital of the CIS", the interaction of the CIS Member States on the Sustainable Development Goals, experience in organizing activities on youth topics in the CIS Member States during the pandemic. There also were presentations of projects of forum participants on activities of organizations and projects of interregional cooperation in the field of youth policy in the CIS.
Results
- An international forum was held with the aim of creating conditions for the development of interstate humanitarian cooperation in the field of youth policy of participating states, the formation of a single youth space on the territory of the CIS Member States for the implementation of joint projects, unlocking youth potential, strengthening friendly relations between youth leaders of the CIS Member States.
- Resolution was adopted.
- Participants stressed the Forum is an important dialogue platform for the interaction of CIS organizations and the development of cooperation in the Commonwealth space.
