The forum is a joint traditional annual event in the field of strengthening international youth cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
Participants were young people aged 18 to 35: representatives of republican, federal, regional youth public organizations, leaders of youth movements, students of educational institutions of higher education, representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. In total 224 people participated there (63 in person, 161 online).
The purpose is development of international youth cooperation between Russia and Belarus, the Union State.
The forum has been held annually since 2013 at the initiative of the National Youth Council of Russia and the Public Association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union".
The agenda of the forum reflects current youth issues including those formulated by youth itself that are fixed in resolutions of the forum.
The forum is included in the Joint Action Plan of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in the field of state youth policy for 2021.
In 2021 the forum was held in a hybrid format (in person and online). The program included sections on the topics "Youth and new technologies. Digital tools in working with youth", "Progressive science in youth environment", "Youth projects of the Union State”.
Representatives of a number of large youth organizations in Russia and Belarus, representatives of youth communities, young specialists from relevant departments, representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation including the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Primorsky Krai, the National Youth Council of Russia were speakers. The Public Association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union", the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education "Far Eastern Federal University", the Russian Union of Youth, the Russian Union of Rural Youth, the All-Russian Public Movement "Volunteers of Victory", the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Project Office for Digital Development of the Samara Region, the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, the National Children's Technopark of the Republic of Belarus, educational institution "National Center for Artistic Creativity of children and youth" of the Republic of Belarus, the Council of leaders of working youth of Minsk, etc also spoke.
Results
The traditional 9th Russian-Belarusian Youth Forum was held to strengthen friendly ties and develop cooperation between youth, youth organizations, state structures of Belarus and Russia, to promote joint interaction of public organizations and authorities working with youth in Belarus and Russia, to promote the implementation of joint youth ideas/projects including interregional ones.
The forum participants together with invited experts and honored guests discussed topical issues concerning youth of the Union State. As a result of the forum, the resolution of the 2021 forum was adopted.
