Russian-Japanese youth cooperation is carried out in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Japan on the establishment of the Russian-Japanese Youth Exchange Commission of March 15, 1999.
Purposes were informing about possibilities of Russian-Japanese youth cooperation and getting acquainted with the methodology for conducting Russian-Japanese youth exchanges.
Participants were 135 people. They were representatives of state and public organizations of the Russian Federation interested in holding Russian-Japanese youth exchanges (school teachers, representatives of universities, youth public associations, youth workers). Among them representatives of organizations assisting the development of Russian-Japanese youth cooperation also participated there.
The seminar "Russian-Japanese youth exchanges" is one of main events of the Plan of Russian-Japanese youth exchanges for 2020 approved at a meeting of the Russian-Japanese Commission on Youth Exchanges.
Results
The program of the seminar included a presentation "Russian-Japanese youth cooperation", a presentation of successful practices in the implementation of Russian-Japanese youth exchanges and a Q & A session.
As a part of the presentation of successful practices experience was presented by a specialist of the 1st category of the Department of mass events and the development of volunteer activities of the Committee for Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations of St. Petersburg R.A. Sabirov, the Head of the Eastern Center of Gymnasium No. 2 in Perm E.E. Klimova, the Head of the Japanese Center for Secondary School No. 83 with in-depth study of Japanese and English languages in the Vyborgsky district of St. Petersburg E.V. Ivantsov.
During the "Question and answer" session participants received information on such issues as search for a partner organization, how to initiate a Russian-Japanese youth exchange, the possibility of financing Russian-Japanese youth exchanges, how to conduct exchanges in the field of sports, how the competitive selection of participants in Russian-Japanese youth exchanges takes place.
