The meeting became a joint event in the field of strengthening international youth cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.
The purpose was development of international youth cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.
Participants were 84 people. They were students and graduate students, young professionals, leaders and project managers of youth public organizations/associations interested in implementing social initiatives in their countries.
The meeting included opening with a speech by honored guests and organizers, a session "Opportunities for youth of Russia and Tajikistan", a master class "Projects today: from idea to support and implementation" summing up the meeting with proposals for cooperation.
At the opening of the meeting the Director of the Department of State Youth Policy of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Denis Valerievich Ashirov, the Head of the Department of International Relations of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Ilkhom Ikrom Kamolzoda took place. The Counsellor-Envoy of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan Shamil Foatovich Shamsutdinov, the Deputy Director of the Third Department of the CIS Countries (3DCIS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexey Mikhailovich Demin spoke a speech. The Chief Specialist of the International Department of the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the Club of Tajik Youth Exposed Abroad Shokhkhusrav Bakhtiyorovich Ayubov, the Acting Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic Tajikistan Ivan Sergeevich Ivanov participated there. On behalf of organizers participants were welcomed by the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia, the Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of RTU MIREA Grigory Valerievich Petushkov, the Deputy Executive Director of Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov in Dushanbe Makhmadsalim Fayzuloevich Abdukarimov, the Director of the MSU Information and Analytical Center Daria Yurievna Chizhova.
The central session was devoted to discussing opportunities that Russian and Tajik organizations provide for young people. Representatives of leading Russian and Tajik foundations spoke about grant activities and support programs. Speakers were Roman Grishenin, the Deputy Executive Director of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, Firuz Saidkhadzhaev, the Senior Specialist for Economic Development of UNDP in Tajikistan, Komol Rakhimov, the Advisor to the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the CIS, Sulaimon Kurbonov, the Deputy Director of the Business Incubator of Tajikistan, Dilovar Boboev, the Chairman of Students’ Youth Society of Tajikistan (MOST). Meeting participants also had the opportunity to talk about their projects and exchange experiences.
In the practical part together with the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund a master class was organized on social design.
Results
- The international meeting was held to strengthen friendly ties and develop cooperation between youth, youth organizations, government agencies of Tajikistan and Russia, promote joint interaction of public organizations and authorities working with youth in the territory of Tajikistan and Russia, promote the implementation of joint youth ideas and projects including interregional ones.
- Within the framework of the forum experts and participants discussed investments in human capital touching on various aspects of state youth policy. They noted that bilateral youth cooperation is an important component of friendly relations between countries. They agreed on further cooperation.
