Event organizers - Kazakhstan Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Lomonosov Moscow State University"

Event date - November 25, 2020 

The forum is held annually. It is an important joint event for the development of cooperation between educational and scientific structures of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Participants were 77 people. They were young people aged 18 to 35 from Russia and Kazakhstan including students and graduate students, young scientists, young professionals, leaders and project managers of youth public organizations / associations.

The first forum "Young scientists" was implemented in 2019. As a result of the event participants made a proposal to make it an annual event in order to expand scientific and business ties between the research and educational structures of our countries, to consolidate efforts to implement state youth policy in the field of supporting young scientists.

In 2020 the forum was held online and contained several blocks of the program including opening with a speech by guests of honor and organizers, the work of sessions "Introduction of digital technologies in science and education" and "Youth cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere" summing up  meetings with proposals for cooperation.

At the opening of the meeting spoke the Director of the Department of State Youth Policy of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Denis Valeryevich Ashirov, the Head of the Department of Research Analytics and International Cooperation of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Samanta Nurlanovna Kazikhanova, the First Secretary of the Third Department of the CIS of the Russian Foreign Ministry Ruslan Khasanovich Arsanukaev. The Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexey Anatolyevich Koropchenko, the director of the Scientific Research Centre "Youth" of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ayan Kazhimerovich Sakoshev also spoke. 

On behalf of organizers participants were welcomed by the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia, the Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of RTU MIREA Grigory Valerievich Petushkov, the Deputy Director for Scientific Work and Educational Activities of the Kazakhstan Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raushan Zhabaikhanovna Abdildina. The Director of the MSU Information and Analytical Center Daria Yuryevna Chizhova also took part. 

During sections "Introduction of digital technologies in science and education" and "Youth cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere" participants exchanged ideas and projects of bilateral cooperation, youth developments, discussed prospects of youth in science and education, talked about challenges of global transformation in modern realities, trends in education in the era of digitalization, advantages and limitations of the virtual educational space. Participants also emphasized the need to expand the interaction of the scientific and educational environment in the future within a single platform, raised interaction issues.

Results

  • The annual bilateral youth forum was held to strengthen friendly ties and develop cooperation between youth, youth organizations, government agencies of Kazakhstan and Russia, to promote the implementation of joint youth educational and scientific ideas and projects, 
  • Participants made proposals for the resolution including to continue to master new ways of learning and educational platforms offered to the modern scientific and educational community, to consolidate efforts of the community of young scientists to create an international informational platform for close interaction, to consider the possibility of conducting online tours of university laboratories, etc., 
  • The forum has become a dialogue platform aimed at developing the scientific and educational potential of structures of Russia and Kazakhstan opening up opportunities for young people in the field of science and informational technology.
