The foundation for the development of youth relations between the Russian Federation and Australia is the Agreement between the Government of the USSR and the Government of Australia on contacts between people and cooperation in the humanitarian field of February 15, 1990.
The Agreement provides for exchanges and contacts between youth and their organizations, holding in this regard by young people and for young people events in the field of culture, education, sports and other similar events.
The Australian Youth Policy Action Coalition is a member of the World Assembly of Youth.
