Russian-German youth cooperation is carried out in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in the field of youth cooperation of December 21, 2004.
One of the priority areas for the implementation of the Agreement is the holding of joint events in the field of advanced training of youth workers.
From May 12 to 16, 2019 in Rostov-on-Don at Rostov State University of Economics the seminar "Language animation in the Russian-German Youth Exchange", one of the main events within the framework of the Russian-German Youth Exchange Program for 2019, was held.
The organizers of the seminar were Russian Coordination Bureau for Youth Cooperation with Germany and the Foundation for German-Russian Youth Exchange with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Administration of Rostov-on-Don and Rostov State University of Economics.
The main goals of the seminar:
- informing about priority areas and opportunities for Russian-German youth cooperation,
- training organizers of Russian-German youth and school exchange in language animation techniques,
- creating a pool of specialists-coordinators for language animation in the regions of Russia.
The seminar participants were representatives of government and public organizations from Russia who have experience in conducting Russian-German youth and school exchanges and who were ready to become a coordinator for language animation in their region (youth workers, teachers from Arkhangelsk, Barnaul, Volgograd, Vologda Region, Izhevsk, Krasnodar Krai, Lipetsk, Moscow Region, Rostov-on-Don, Cheboksary, St. Petersburg and Moscow, in total 31 persons).
As part of the educational program of the seminar the participants got acquainted with the priority areas of Russian-German youth cooperation, were trained in language animation techniques and practiced their acquired skills at the workshop with the participation of students from School No. 53 in Rostov-on-Don.
