The forum was held in a hybrid format (in person and online) and became a joint event in the field of strengthening international youth cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.

Participants were young people aged 18 to 35 from Russia and Tajikistan including students and graduate students, young professionals, leaders and project managers of youth public organizations / associations interested in implementing social initiatives in their countries. In total 58 people participated there.

An application campaign was organized to participate in the forum through the ADS Youth of Russia and through the Google form (212 applications). As a result of the selection, the invitation was sent to 181 people with a link to an online connection to participate in the forum.

 Key topics:

  • "Prospects for youth tourism in Russia and Tajikistan",
  • "Problems of the volunteer movement development", 
  • "Prospects for the implementation of joint social projects". 

The program contained opening with speeches by guests of honor and organizers, thematic sections and workshops, expert sessions, master classes, excursions.

At the opening of the forum participants were addressed by the Director of the Department of State Youth Policy of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Denis Valerievich Ashirov, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilshot Jamolidinovich Nazarov, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia, the Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of RTU MIREA Grigory Valerievich Petushkov. 

Results:

A bilateral forum was held to strengthen friendly ties and develop cooperation between youth, youth organizations, state structures of Russia and Tajikistan, to promote the implementation of joint youth ideas and projects. Within the framework of the forum experts and participants discussed aspects of states’ youth policy, noted bilateral youth cooperation is an important component of maintaining relations between countries.

As a result of the event, a number of proposals were received from participants in the resolution of the forum including further holding of the annual bilateral Russian-Tajik Youth Forum as an important dialogue platform for youth of both countries, development of the media sphere with the possibility of organizing a project-competition for young media journalists of two countries, actively use modern forms of youth work in joint events. Participants also proposed to support the traditions of cooperation between peoples of Russia and Tajikistan, ensure the generations continuity, preserve the unifying values and culture of Tajikistan and Russia, organize a program (project) on cyber volunteering for the experience exchange, etc.
