Russian-German youth cooperation is carried out in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in the field of youth cooperation of December 21, 2004.
Participants were 81 people. They were representatives of professional colleges from Russia and Germany interested in conducting Russian-German professional youth exchange projects, the Russian delegation included representatives of the Republic of Dagestan, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the Republic of North Ossetia (Alania), the Udmurt Republic, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Yugra) Belgorod, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Kursk, Leningrad, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tver, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk regions as well as representatives of Moscow and St. Petersburg. They also were representatives of organizations assisting the development of Russian-German youth cooperation.
The purpose was informing about possibilities of Russian-German youth cooperation in the field of vocational education.
Tasks
- Acquaintance with peculiarities of vocational education in Russia and Germany,
- Familiarization with the methodology of conducting Russian-German youth exchanges in the field of vocational education.
One of the priority areas for the implementation of the Agreement is the exchange of young people employed in the field of education and training. The Russian-German Fair of Partnerships in the Field of Professional Youth Exchange and the Russian-German Thematic Day "Professional youth exchanges" have become traditional events within this area.
At the 15th meeting of the Russian-German Council for youth cooperation (November 19–22, 2019, Heidelberg) it was decided to hold the 3rd Russian-German Partnership Fair in the field of professional youth exchange and the 2nd Russian-German thematic day "Professional youth exchanges" in September 2020 in Moscow. In connection with the Covid-19 pandemic it was decided to hold these events in the format of the Russian-German online conference "Professional youth exchanges". The conference was held under auspices of the Year of Germany in Russia 2020-2021.
Results
As a part of the program of the 1st day of the conference a discussion "Importance of professional youth exchanges for students and Russian-German relations" with the participation of experts from Russia and Germany as well as a presentation "Russian-German professional youth exchanges – participants, statistics, structure" took place.
As a part of the program of the 2nd day of the conference at the discussion participants discussed features and prospects for the implementation of Russian-German professional youth exchanges during and after the Covid-19 pandemic and also got acquainted with the system of financing Russian-German youth exchanges from the Russian side at a special webinar.
On the final day participants got acquainted with the system of financing Russian-German youth exchanges from the German side as well as the basics of visa support for Russian-German youth exchanges.
As a result of the conference participants received methodological materials on the topics "Professional education in Russia", "Professional education in Germany", "Russian-German professional youth exchanges". More than half of the conference participants expressed their readiness to act as organizers of Russian-German professional youth exchange projects.
