The international distant master class "Modern trends in Russian language teaching" organised by the Russian Humanitarian Mission will be held on March 20 and 27, 2024 from 15:00 to 17:30 (Moscow time) in online format.
Current teachers of the Russian as a foreign language and future teachers, students of specialised faculties planning to work in Russian-language educational institutions are invited to participate.
Within the framework of the educational event two topics will be discussed in detail:
- "Communicative method in Russian language teaching: from theory to practice". The session is addressed to Russian language teachers who wish to gain an understanding of the application of the communicative method in teaching Russian (as a foreign language, as a non-native language, as a second language). The principles of communicative lesson design will be described and specific techniques and technologies of their implementation in the classroom will be presented. The system of exercises and the peculiarities of developing your own assignments taking into account the communicative methodology will also be discussed in detail.
- "Neural networks to help the teacher of Russian language". Within the framework of the class, neural networks and their capabilities will be widely presented and described in detail, and the key directions of neural networks application in Russian language teaching will be highlighted. At the masterclass teachers will learn how to interact with neural networks and use them in practice.
The course speaker: Ksenia Rodionova, the teacher of Russian as a foreign language at different levels of proficiency with work experience in Russia and abroad, researcher at the laboratory of cognitive and linguistic research of the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language.
