Presentation of the BRICS Youth Summit has been held at the Russia EXPO

The BRICS Youth Summit will be held from July 22 to 26, 2024 in Ulyanovsk for the first time in a renewed composition with five new participants such as Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The summit will bring together more than 200 participants.

The BRICS Youth Summit is a platform for dialogue between delegates of the Member States striving to strengthen security and development in a multipolar world in the context of globalization.

According to Diana Kovel, the Programme Director of the BRICS Youth Summit 2024, the architecture of the summit will be based on five thematic tracks including Education and Training, Science, Technology and Innovation, Volunteering, Entrepreneurship, Sport and Healthy Lifestyle of Youth. In addition, the summit will traditionally include a meeting of ministers or leaders of the BRICS Member States responsible for the implementation of youth policy.

The BRICS youth agenda is characterised by several pillars. First of all, it is the key event of the year. Every year, the country holding the BRICS Chairmanship holds a Youth Summit and Youth Ministers' Meetings. As for our main approaches in the development of the youth agenda, first of all, systematisms is very important for us. It is necessary to hold events and initiate new projects not only within the framework of the Russian BRICS Chairmanship, but also from year to year, Valeria Chernogorodova, the Head of the International Activities Division of the Youth Projects and Programmes Directorate of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh) stressed.
