Council of Youth Movements of Israel

The Council of Youth Movements of Israel is a non-profit organization established in 1974 bringing together youth organizations and movements in Israel.

The Council serves as a meeting place for leaders of Israeli youth movements representing the entire political spectrum of the country as well as a platform for discussing topical issues of education and youth involvement in social processes and public activities.

The Council of Youth Movements of Israel functions as a coordinating body for youth organizations operating in such areas as: summer camps for youth, labour protection and health of young people, Shnat Sherut (Year of Service, Public Pre-Army Service) and other areas.

At the moment the Council of Youth Movements of Israel includes 22 youth organizations.

The Council of Youth Movements of Israel cooperates with numerous organizations and government agencies on a wide range of programs aimed at encouraging the social activity of youth and instilling social and cultural values ​​in youth and children.

The Council of Youth Movements of Israel maintains relations with the respective councils of youth movements in other countries and exchanges youth delegations between them. The Council is a partner of the German Federal Youth Council, the Austrian Federal Youth Representation (BJV), the Czech Council of Children and Youth (ČRDM) and the Polish Council of Youth Organizations.

Cooperation of the Council of Youth Movements of Israel with Russia until 2022 is carried out in partnership with the National Youth Council of Russia.
