All-Russian public organization "Russian Union of Youth" (RUY)

The All-Russian public organization "Russian Union of Youth" (RUY) was established in 1990. It unites more than 104 thousand young people. Every year four million people participate in the RUY projects throughout Russia.

The activities of the RUY are also aimed at developing friendship and cooperation between young people of all nationalities and peoples as well as participation in international organizations and international programs.

The Russian Union of Youth is a member of:

  • the Youth Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, 
  • the European Youth Card Association (EYCA), 
  • the Intergovernmental Subcommittee on Cooperation in the Field of Youth Policy of the Russian part of the Russian-Chinese Commission for Humanitarian Cooperation, 
  • the Interdepartmental Council for Youth Affairs under the Government Commission on Compatriots Living Abroad.

The RUY develops Russian-Chinese and Russian-Belarusian youth cooperation within the framework of relevant agreements with the All-China Youth Federation and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and participates in the development of youth cooperation in the BRICS Member States.
