The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia develops and implements state policy in the fields of education, science, culture, sports and state youth policy.
State youth policy in the Republic of Armenia is a system of priorities, programs and mechanisms aimed at creating the conditions necessary for the participation of young people, their socialization and self-realization, the involvement and development of youth potential, contributing to the strengthening of the national security of the Republic of Armenia, socio-economic and cultural development.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia is the permanent member of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States.
The legal basis for the interaction of the Ministry with Russian partners:
- Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on cooperation in the humanitarian sphere of October 24, 2011
- Agreement of the CIS Member States on cooperation in the field of youth work of November 25, 2005
The Ministry is a co-organizer of the annual Russian-Armenian Youth Forum from the Armenian side.
