Grants from the Russkiy Mir Foundation are provided on a competitive foundation for Russian and foreign non-profit organizations for the implementation of projects,  the goals of which are: 

1. Popularization of the Russian language, 

2. Support for Russian language study programs abroad, 

3. Promoting cultural and humanitarian cooperation aimed at creating interest in the culture, history and modern life of Russia.

Cultural and humanitarian projects may include:

• holding forums, conferences, symposiums, round tables dedicated to the study of Russia, its history and culture, its role in the development of world civilization, 
• release and promotion of Russian-language mass media including electronic and network, other information resources, 
• carrying out a set of measures aimed at preserving historical memory, 
• preparation and holding of exhibitions, release of albums, creation of video content about the Russian world and its prominent representatives, 
• holding thematic festivals, holidays, competitions of performing skills, author's song, Russian romance, Russian spiritual culture, 
• implementation of other cultural and humanitarian events dedicated to Russian culture in the context of world culture.

On August 1, 2023 the "autumn session" of accepting applications for submitting applications for a grant from the Russkiy Mir Foundation will be opened.

The project’s implementation period is from January 1, 2024.

Applications will be accepted until 23:30 (Moscow time) on September 15, 2023.

In 2023, when determining the winners, priority will be given to projects proposed for implementation in the Member States of the CIS, the SCO, BRICS, countries of Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Central and Southeast Asia.

In this case, the following projects will have an advantage:

For the promotion of the Russian language:

• teaching Russian abroad, 
• scientific and methodological activities in the field of the Russian language and literature, 
• promotion of education abroad in Russian, 

In the cultural and humanitarian spheres:

• popularization of the Russian language and Russian culture, 
• support for the activities of Russian-language media.
