From May 1 to 31, 2024 a competitive selection of popular science expeditions in the Union State of Russia and Belarus will be held for Russian and Belarusian universities.
It is necessary to develop a youth tourist programme which will include an introduction to the university, the region and a career guidance track for participation.
The project is aimed at the developing of cognitive, safe and comfortable youth tourism in the territory of the Union State.
Following the results of the competition 12 popular science expeditions will be selected. Winners' programmes will be posted on the website Studturizm.rf and will be available for registration of the participants from June to November 2024.

The content part of the trips should include at least two tracks to choose from:
- popular science track (visiting the university, getting acquainted with the university infrastructure, scientific laboratories, attending lectures, master-classes, seminars, conferences),
- career guidance track (visiting production enterprises, getting acquainted with professions, undergoing industrial practices),
- cultural and cognitive track (excursions to historical places with visits to historical, architectural, cultural monuments as well as leisure activities including concerts, exhibitions, theatre performances).
It is planned that at least 1000 students and young scientists of the Union State universities aged 18 to 35 will take part in the routes.
The competition is organized by Pskov State University, the project office of international youth cooperation in the direction of "Russia – Belarus" with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
