The All-Russian Public Youth Organization "All-Russian Student Rescue Corps" is one of the largest student volunteer organizations in the Russian Federation. It was formed on April 22, 2001 at the initiative of the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of that time, Sergei Shoigu.

The All-Russian Student Rescue Corps unites over 8,000 volunteers from 86 regions of Russia.

The All-Russian Student Rescue Corps conducts systematic work aimed at teaching children and youth the basics of a safe life and rescue business, preparing various categories of citizens for actions in difficult and emergency situations and developing volunteering in emergency situations.

The main goals of the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps:

  • participation in unified state policy in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations caused by accidents, catastrophes, natural and other disasters, 
  • civil and patriotic education of youth of the Russian Federation, 
  • assistance to the state in the implementation of the strategic tasks of state youth policy, 
  • assistance to the state in the implementation of the strategic tasks of its development in all areas.

Organization’s tasks:

  • raising the level of safety culture of population, 
  • participation in the liquidation of emergency situations and their consequences, 
  • training volunteers to participate in the liquidation of emergency situations and their consequences, 
  • organization of humanitarian missions, 
  • ensuring security at mass events of various levels, 
  • organization and conduction of emergency recovery work, 
  • providing targeted assistance to pensioners, people with limited mobility.

The All-Russian Student Rescue Corps is a member organization of the National Youth Council of Russia.

Until 2022 the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps participated in the development of Russian-German youth cooperation in partnership with the youth organization of the German Federal Technical Assistance Service THW-Jugend. Their joint projects were directed at intercultural dialogue among young people, at the exchange of professional rescue competencies and at increasing the readiness of young volunteers to act together in case of international emergencies.
