Union of Youth of Uzbekistan

The Union of Youth of Uzbekistan is a non-profit non-state youth organization established on June 30, 2017 at the IV kurultai of the social movement Uzbek youth "Kamolot"

The main goal of the organization is to educate a young person who is modern, educated, spiritually and intellectually developed, energetic, sane, setting an example with his behaviour, able to withstand external threats and pseudo-mass culture.

The priority areas of activity are:

  • transformation of the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan into a structure ensuring effective interaction with government agencies, non-governmental non-profit organizations and other civil society institutions in the implementation of state youth policy carrying out professional activities under the motto "Youth is the builder of the future", 
  • protecting the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of young people, educating them in the spirit of respect for national and universal values, affirming in their minds feelings of devotion to the ideas of independence, national self-consciousness, love for the Motherland and participation in its fate, selflessness, protecting it from various ideological threats, 
  • increasing the activity of young people in reforms to build a democratic state and develop civil society, expanding the ranks of proactive, energetic youth with high spirituality, independent thinking, a firm life position, a broad outlook and deep knowledge, able to use all their strength, knowledge and potential for humanity, take responsibility for the future of the country, 
  • creation of decent conditions for the acquisition of modern professions by young people, employment, development of their business abilities, wide involvement in small business and private entrepreneurship, stimulation of initiatives, assistance in the realization of intellectual and creative potential, 
  • the formation of strong immunity among young people against various ideological threats, in particular religious extremism, terrorism, "mass culture" and other ideas alien to people by further increasing their interest in reading scientific and fiction literature, including e-books, increasing their legal, environmental , medical culture and culture of using information and communication technologies, 
  • propaganda of the ideas of a healthy lifestyle and the sacredness of family among young people, the implementation of effective measures to prevent early marriages and divorces of young families, 
  • attracting young people, namely the  unorganized, to sports and physical culture, to creative circles, various training courses, including foreign language learning, with the goal of organizing their leisure time in a meaningful way, 
  • organizing targeted work to provide material and moral support to young families, young people with disabilities and people who are in need of social protection, creating decent housing and social conditions for them, 
  • active participation in the early warning and prevention of delinquency and crime among young people, 
  • growing up young educated, enterprising, conscientious and selfless leading top management who actively participates in the reforms being implemented in our country and faithfully serve the interests of humanity, create a reserve of stuff and promote people to responsible positions in state and economic management bodies, 
  • implementation of measures for further development of international cooperation in the field of youth policy, protection of the rights and interests of young people receiving education and working in foreign countries, 
  • providing ideological and methodological assistance to state and economic management bodies, non-governmental non-profit organizations and other institutions of civil society in organizing youth work. Organization of public control over the activities of authorized departments involved in the implementation of state youth policy, the adoption of effective measures based on the results of control.

The legal basis for cooperation between the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan and the Russian partners is the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of culture, science and technology, education, healthcare, information, sports and tourism dated March 19, 1993 and the Agreement of the CIS Member States on cooperation in the field of youth work dated November 25, 2005. 

The Union of Youth of Uzbekistan is a co-organizer of the annual Russian-Uzbek Youth Forum.
