Russian-French Committee on Youth Exchanges

The Russian-French Committee on Youth Exchanges was established in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the French Republic on the development of youth exchanges dated September 20, 2008 (entered into force on May 1, 2017). It determines the priorities of bilateral youth cooperation.

The tasks of the Committee are:

  • annual summing up of the results of cooperation and development of action plans for the implementation of the Agreement, 
  • promotion of regular contacts between the structures responsible for the implementation of youth exchanges.

In accordance with the Agreement, meetings of the Committee are held at least once a year alternately in Russia and France.

The Russian part of the Committee is headed by the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the French part of the Committee is chaired by a representative of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic.

The composition of the Russian part of the Committee was approved by Decree No. 1606-r of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 14, 2021.

On October 15, 2021 the first meeting of the Committee was held in Moscow at MIREA – Russian Technological University in a hybrid format.
