The Russian-Azerbaijani joint working group on cooperation in the field of youth policy was established to implement the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of youth policy dated November 13, 2019.

The Russian part of the working group is chaired by the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The working group from the Russian side includes representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo, the National Youth Council of Russia. The composition of the Russian part of the working group was approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 22, 2020 No. 2729-r.

At the annual meetings of the working group the results of bilateral youth cooperation over the past year are summed up, and plans for joint events for the next year are agreed and signed.
