Spanish Youth Council

The Spanish Youth Council is the autonomous body created in 1983 where youth organizations and regional youth councils of Spain are represented.

The main goal of the work of the Spanish Youth Council is to interact with the country's authorities and inform the government about the most significant national youth issues.

The activities of the Spanish Youth Council are:

  • promoting the formation of youth associations and their active work, 
  • acting on behalf of Spanish youth and representing their interests in various instances, 
  • informing public authorities and the public about proposals and issues of concern to young people, 
  • providing support to youth organizations.

At the moment the Spanish Youth Council has 39 member organizations.

Cooperation of the Spanish Youth Council with Russia until 2022 was carried out in partnership with the National Youth Council of Russia.

The Spanish Youth Council is part of the European Youth Forum.
