The National Committee for BRICS Research was established in 2011 in order to implement the Action Plan for the implementation of the agreements reached at the BRICS summit in Sanya (China).

The purpose of the National Committee for BRICS Research is to organize and conduct research on the role and place of the BRICS Member States and other "rising powers" in world politics and economics.

One of the priority activities of the National Committee for BRICS Research is interaction with civil society and youth organizations.

With the support of the National Committee for BRICS Research the BRICS Youth Expert Society (BRICSYES!) was created. It is a youth platform to establish a constructive dialogue between young experts from the BRICS Member States.

The main goal of the BRICS Youth Expert Society is to consolidate the position of the future leaders of five countries, to strengthen cooperation within the association through youth diplomacy, scientific exchange and political dialogue of young scientists from leading developing countries of the world.

The National Committee for BRICS Research annually implements the International Scientific and Educational Program "BRICS School". It is also the partner of various youth projects of the BRICS Member States.
