The Youth All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Students’ Teams" (RST) is the largest youth organization in the country created on February 17, 2004 during the All-Russian Forum of Students’ Teams dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the movement of students’ teams of the Russian Federation. The movement of student groups in Russia has more than half a century of history of its development and in 2024 will celebrate its 65th anniversary.

The Russian Students’ Teams provides temporary employment for more than 150 thousand young people from 81 subjects of the Russian Federation. It is also engaged in civic and patriotic education, develops the creative and sports potential of young people.

The goal is to organize temporary employment for students in general education organizations and educational organizations of higher education who have expressed a desire to work in various sectors of the economy in their free time from studies.

Tasks:

• promotion of temporary and permanent employment of students and graduates of educational institutions, 
• attracting young students to participate in labour activities, 
• patriotic education of youth, support and development of the traditions of the movement of student groups, cultural and socially significant work among population, 
• assistance in the formation of a personnel reserve for various sectors of the economy of the Russian Federation.

• career online forum of student teams #TrudKrut, 
• organization of vocational training for members of student teams, 
• All-Russian student constructions, 
• "Snow landing of the RST" is a youth voluntary action which includes a set of activities aimed at developing volunteering among youth, career guidance and assistance in finding employment for young people, creating conditions for realizing the potential of young people in the socio-economic sphere, patriotic education, educational activities of population and the formation of healthy lifestyle values, 
• All-Russian rallies of student teams, 
• All-Russian competition to identify the best methods (practices) for working with student teams "Growth Algorithm", 
• #РSTsport is a project aimed at involving young people in systematic physical education and sports and promoting the best practices for organizing physical culture and mass work among youth audience, 
• "Shock Labour Day" is an all-Russian action when members of student groups on one of the days of the working semester (virgin lands) try to show special labour achievements, and the wages for this shift are transferred to the RST Fund for various social needs, 
• The All-Russian labour patriotic action "Let's Bow to the Great Years" is aimed at preserving and developing patriotism towards the heroic past of Russia among youth.

Since 2013 cooperation has been developing between the Youth All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Students’ Teams" (RST) and the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union".

Consolidated student teams work at construction sites in Russia and Belarus. In 2015 a joint action "Students’ teams are named after them!" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. In 2018 it was held as part of the V Forum regions of Belarus and Russia, the first Gathering of student teams of Belarus and Russia "Youth builds the Union" took place, representatives of Belarusian students’ teams take part in educational projects of the RST.
