One of the main goals of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic is the development and implementation of unified state youth policy.
Tasks and functions of the Ministry:
- development of measures to create the necessary conditions for the realization of the economic, intellectual and spiritual potential of young people in the interests of society,
- ensuring the direct participation of young people in the formation and implementation of state youth policy, supporting its socially significant and innovative initiatives,
- implementation of state and industry programs,
- implementation of international cooperation agreements,
- assistance in organizing congresses, conferences, seminars and other events in the field of state youth policy,
- assistance in holding international and republican events, festivals, promotions, exhibitions, competitions, seminars, conferences,
- methodological and consulting assistance on youth issues,
- assistance to the activities of state bodies, local governments in the implementation of state youth policy,
- organization of international, republican, regional and local events related to the development of state youth policy,
- support for talented children and youth,
- implementation of advertising and information work on youth issues,
- monitoring and evaluation of the state of youth policy’s issues, control of the implementation of international treaties, the development of concepts, strategies, programs in the field of youth.
The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy is the permanent member of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States.
Russian-Kyrgyz youth cooperation is carried out in accordance with:
- Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation in the humanitarian sphere of April 5, 2012
- Memorandum on cooperation in the field of youth policy between the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Russian Federation) and the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic of July 26, 2019
