The Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) as part of the development of international youth cooperation:

• annually holds the Churkin Moscow International Model UN, 
• is the organizer of the Moscow Youth International Model of the Arctic Council, 
• implements Russian-French youth projects (as part of the functions of the Russian Secretariat of the Trianon Dialogue), 
• organizes the annual Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit (as part of the activities of the ASEAN Center which has been operating on the basis of MGIMO since 2010), 
• is a partner of the research internship program for young foreign specialists "InteRussia" implemented by the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund since 2021.

In accordance with the Agreement on cooperation and interaction between MGIMO and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, since 2016 the Centre for International Youth Cooperation has been operating on the basis of the university. The main tasks are:

• assistance in the implementation of the main directions of state youth policy, 
• general expert and methodological support of international youth cooperation and exchanges in the Russian Federation, 
• participation in the preparation and holding of major international youth events, 
• preparation, holding and support of discussion platforms, sections and sessions within the framework of all-Russian youth forum campaigns, individual forums, conventions, conferences and other events, 
• support and administration of the processes of preparation for the participation of representatives of relevant state authorities, public associations, employees and students of Russian educational institutions and other interested structures in events in the field of international youth cooperation abroad;
• development and implementation of educational programs in the main areas of MGIMO in the field of international youth cooperation for representatives of relevant government bodies, public associations, employees and students of Russian educational institutions and other interested structures, 
• development, implementation, support and maintenance of international programs.

MGIMO is a permanent partner of relevant state authorities of the Russian Federation, the National Youth Council of Russia, the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and other organizations for the implementation of international youth projects and programs.
