Intergovernmental subcommittee on cooperation in the field of youth policy of the Russian-Chinese commission for humanitarian cooperation

The Russian-Chinese Commission for Humanitarian Cooperation (formerly the Russian-Chinese Commission for Cooperation in Education, Culture, Health and Sports) was established in 2000 as part of the mechanism of regular meetings between the heads of Russia and China. The purpose of the Commission is to strengthen cooperation between Russia and China in the humanitarian sphere and to coordinate practical interaction in this area.

In 2010 an Intergovernmental subcommittee on cooperation in the field of youth policy was established within the framework of the Commission.

The Chairman of the Russian part of the subcommittee is the Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

Subcommittee meetings are held on a regular basis at least once a year alternately in Russia and China.
