The Committee on Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan was established in 2018. It provides leadership in the areas of state youth and family policy.
The main functions of the Committee:
- coordination of state youth policy including intersectoral coordination,
- development of proposals for the formation of state youth policy,
- interaction and cooperation with youth organizations on issues of state youth policy,
- providing organizations of education and upbringing system with the necessary advisory assistance in the field of state youth policy,
- international cooperation in the areas of state youth and family policy including ensuring compliance with the provisions of international legal documents as well as monitoring the implementation of international projects on youth and family issues in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Committee on Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a permanent member of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States.
The legal basis for the interaction of the Committee with Russian partners:
